Located in “Green Mountains” Bennington County, Sunderland is a town that has plenty to offer. A little historical fact about this town: it is said to be named after the sixth Earl of Sunderland, George Spencer. You might be more familiar with his great-great grandson: Sir Winston Spencer Churchill!

The Alpine Slide is pretty famous; there are three slides (slow, medium and fast). Don't be surprised if there is a long line of people all waiting to ride it. Other than the alpine slides, The Sun Mountain Flyer is a ride that must not be missed especially for adrenaline junkies. The ride flies you down the mountain, as the name suggests “mountain flyer.” You will be screaming for the first few seconds of the ride, but then it gets easier, and you can enjoy the stellar view of the mountains.
If amusement parks make you dizzy, there are plenty of other activities that Sutherland, Vermont has to offer. The Vermont River Runners is perfect for anyone who wishes to try their hands at canoeing. They have rental boats, gear, and maps to help you with your river journey. So, get busy paddling!
