Hartland Wedding Photographers
The beautiful town of Hartland is nestled between the Connecticut River and the Ottauquechee River in Windsor County. Like many of the small towns in Vermont, Hartland is a secret historical hotspot. As a Burlington, Vermont wedding photographer, I am always delighted by the history that is just beneath the surface everywhere in the Green Mountain State. It was here that George Tooker, a revolutionary painter in magic and social realism, and the current Burlington mayor, Miro Weinberger were born. Besides this there are numbers of historic farms that have been a part of Vermont’s agricultural community for generations. One of my favorite wedding locales is actually located in the heart of Hartland.
The Sumner Mansion Inn
The Sumner Mansion Inn is absolutely stunning with well-groomed lawns and patio. To boot, the interior décor is very modern and the staff is excellent. I can not say enough about how awesome this place is! There are also a host of fantastic eateries in the area, such as Chef Brad’s Crazy Side (this place is SO fun – think surf-shack meets trendy food truck) and the Hartland Diner (truly a local watering hole). For the nature-lovers out there, Hartland offers the Eshqua Bog Natural Area. The preserve has a lovely woodland trail with a short boardwalk through the bog. If you catch it at the right time of year, you may be privy to thousands of Ladyslippers in full bloom. It is quite a sight and well-worth the stop. So, if you find yourself in need of wedding.
