The wedding of Stephanie and Chad was simply amazing. She was featured on Say Yes to the Dress! And, her wedding was published on Style Me Pretty. Both Incredible honors!
Stephanie and Chad were married at The Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas. Here is the transcript of a chat that I had with Stephanie.
My wedding vision all started with my dress! I purchased my Lazaro gown months before we traveled to Cabo San Lucas to find a wedding venue. My dress made its first debut off the runway at Lazaro’s trunk show at Kleinfeld bridal in NYC and I had to be there! My dress embodied exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day; classic, sexy and chic! Esperanza, and Cabo San Lucas will always have a huge part of my heart. We could not have chosen a more beautiful and romantic location to get married. Our wedding was a fairytale!
Get a good nights sleep and don't drink anything (or very little) the day before your wedding. You deserve to feel 110% on your biggest day! Treat yourself to hair & makeup in your bridal suite. I was stress free not having to travel anywhere!
Buy or rent an additional shirt that you can change into after your ceremony. If you get nervous or tend to sweat a lot, you will appreciate a dry shirt before the festivities begin!
I think the biggest surprise was actually seeing my wedding come to life. After over a year of planning, our day was exactly how I visioned it...and more!
None that I remember!! I would like to credit my excellent planning skills maybe? Or just luck?
I loved the big dress reveal to my bridesmaids! I got into my dress with the help of my mother in the bedroom while everyone else waited in the living area. We captured everyone's reaction as I opened the two bedrooms doors to reveal my bridal look!
I loved Amy's energy and passion for her photography work. I loved working with Amy because she respected my vision and delivered memories we will never forget! She made me feel like one of the luckiest brides throughout the planning process. Every bride should have the opportunity to work with Amy Bennett.
I got super nervous 30 minutes before it was time to walk down the aisle. The morning of getting ready was suddenly ending and it was time to get married! I drank a Zico hydration beverage and ate a banana to calm my nerves....and to help me walk down the aisle! I didn't want to faint. But as soon as I saw my groom, all of my nerves slipped away!
The trouble my husband had getting me out of my wedding dress!
And...
I will also always remember our ceremony. I loved walking down the aisle with my father. I remembering having the biggest smile on my face as I saw my groom at the end of the aisle, with the gorgeous blue infinity pool and ocean in the background.
I loved everything about our ceremony, even the bug that apparently got stuck in my vail.
The best advice I was given was to take in the moments throughout your wedding because it will fly by and be over before you know it. Enjoy every moment and don't sweat the small stuff....trust all the hard work you planned for months!
Having a wedding planner who knows your timetable well, and who is also experienced to troubleshoot any time conflicts. Don't try to do everything with not enough time! Live in the moment. Photographs can take a long time before and after your i dos. Trust your photographer to also keep you on schedule & to get the shots you envision! Lastly, hire vendors who have worked together and recommend one another!
I loved all the speeches but it was a special moment when my husband's brother started the last toast of the evening. He begun his speech asking each table individually to "make some noise" as a contest to see who would would make the loudest applause. Of course, our sweetheart table won!
My favorite photograph is a shot of my husband and I kissing at we ran thru a receiving line of our guests holding sparklers.
Another favorite is a bridal shot of my gown on the beach. I look like an angel.
And one more favorite is a photo of my husband leaning against a stone wall by the pool and me looking up at his eyes. The photo also highlights my dress.
There's too many favorites to just pick one!! Hard question....
I've been thinking about how and where I plan to display our wedding photos at home for months! I really want to display more intimate photos of our wedding (oversized & professional framed) in our master bedroom. However I would like to share a few other "favorites" on one main wall highlighting 6 to 9 additional memorable shots!
