Grand Isle Wedding Photographer
As a Burlington-based wedding photographer and born Vermonter, Grand Isle holds a special place in my heart. Set in the middle of Lake Champlain, Grand Isle is home to some of the best views (sunsets), hotels, restaurants, and outdoor areas in Chittendon County. Lake Champlain Transportation Company’s ferry to Plattsburgh, NY also runs out of Grand Isle.
It is always a pleasure whenever I am on the island to begin my day with a treat from Island Donuts. Some of my other favorite places to eat in the area include: The Outhouse (local fast food), Café at the Gallery (great brunch), Faywood Gardens (experiential dining), Kim’s (best hamburger on the islands), and Kitchen Door Café (wonderful wine, even better food).
Grand Isle is also home to two beautiful and accommodating waterfront hotels, Adam’s Landing Bed & Breakfast and Ferry Watch Inn. Within the town boundaries sits Grand Isle State Park, a marvelously upheld public area that has earned its place as the most visited campground in the state park system. If camping isn’t your thing, there is also a huge art community on the islands. Over 75 local artists are on display at Grand Isle Art Works.
There are also small historical sites tucked away amongst the newer development on the island. A favorite of mine is Hyde Log Cabin (an old schoolhouse). I have been coming to visit Grand Isle since I was a little girl. I have so many happy memories here and I would love to help capture your special moments. As a local, I am also happy to provide recommendations for fun or event vendors. If you are in need of wedding, event, or photography services in the Grand Isle area please review my online portfolio and reach out!
