Hardwick Vermont Wedding Photography

Located in Caledonia County and located along the Lamoille River, Hardwick serves as the commercial center for the surrounding farming communities. The villages of Hardwick, East Hardwick, and Mackville are within the town’s boundaries. It is in this rural, idyllic corner of Vermont that the new meets the old, where history has been reinvented into modern life. Traditionally, the area housed a woolen mill, tinware shop, and carriage factory. Today, among other modernizations, it is home to the Grass Roots Art and Community Effort (GRACE). Much of the art that is created here is informed by the area’s history, yet offers something new. As a Vermont wedding photographer, there is nothing I love to see more than innovative and supported creative work going on in our small Vermont communities. Like most of Vermont, Hardwick is home to lovely mountain views and ample hiking. The highest peak in the area is Jeudevine Mountain (coming in at 1831 feet above sea level). Whenever I am staying in the area I love to stay at the Kimball House (a classic Vermont farmhouse reconstructed into an inn; the property also has an amazing porch). I love to go out to eat in Hardwick, my favorite spots include: Village Restaurant (Diner Fare), Positive Pie, and A Vermont Place (great inventive food and live music).
