Jacksonville Wedding Photography
Tucked amongst the hills and mountains of Southern Vermont is the small town of Jacksonville. As one of Vermont’s premier wedding photographers I make a point of understanding the areas I work in and their histories. I believe that through the act of acquiring knowledge, you begin to see more of the wonderful complexities of our world. And as a photographer, sight is everything. In my research on Jacksonville I found that the town was originally named Point Pleasant, but was renamed in honor of President Andrew Jackson.
Jacksonville is a relatively short drive to Mount Snow Ski Resort and offers a multitude of hikes and other outdoor activities. Jacksonville is also home to two absolutely lovely hotels, the Candlelight Bed and Breakfast (a quintessential Vermont family Inn) and The Dumaine House (this property is like a large, welcoming cabin and is ideal for group retreats, like wedding parties). While exploring the Jacksonville area, I recommend checking out Honora Winery & Vineyard, J’Ville Brewery, and/or Spoonward Cabin Creamery (they have great cheese) for tastings. It’s a super fun way to spend an afternoon or evening! Stone Soldier Pottery is also another great local business; they offer a multitude of hand-crafted ceramics (great gifts)! Throughout the Jacksonville area there are a number of awesome eateries, such as Pizzapalooza & Bear Naked Brewery, Dot’s Restaurant, Cask & Kiln Kitchen, Mangia e Beve, and Village Roost Café & Marketplace. If you find yourself in the Jacksonville area seeking wedding, event, or portrait photography services, please look through my online portfolio and reach out! I adore working with genuine Vermont communities to commemorate the important moments in my client’s lives!
