Why Should We Have a Charleston Engagement Session?

This engagement portrait session was special because of the passion between this couple. Deciding the best poses for wedding photography is a process for wedding photographers in every region because every couple has a unique love story and connection. These two really jived with some of my go-to wedding photography poses, but they also created some poses naturally during their engagement session. This is one of the biggest goals of engagement photography: to determine which couple's poses feel natural to you as a couple. Not every couple has a lot of practice being photographed before their engagement session, so it's completely normal to be unaware how to pose together. Practice makes perfect, which is why I aim to have 100% of my couples do engagement sessions or a couple's portrait session at their rehearsal dinner.
